Without volunteers, VIP would not exist! Volunteers in the Host Congregations provide our families with a place to sleep, food, and most importantly, love. Those who donate financially to VIP provide us with the resources to help our guest families achieve stability (day to day needs, staff, day center, transportation, etc.).
Coordinators – recruit volunteers, oversee hosting weeks, act as liaison between congregation and VIP staff
Meal Providers – provide hot dinners to guest families
Hosts – providing fellowship to families during meals, in evenings, and on weekends. Multiple hosts for multiple time slots. Overnight hosts stay at church facilities overnight with families (in a separate room).
Set-up/take-down crew – sets up beds (provided by VIP) and living space for guests before guests arrive on Sunday; takes down beds and loads up VIP trailer for when guests leave the following Sunday
Driver(s) – transports guest families and VIP trailer to next church on departure day
We depend entirely on the generosity of caring individuals, churches, and organizations for our existence. Please consider donating to the mission of Valley Interfaith Promise here.
